My Story - Hi, I’m Chelsea!
After years of hosting a monthly book club at my house, I decided to take us on the road for a reading retreat. We had an amazing time and I couldn’t wait to plan another. Now, I’m thrilled to be organizing reading retreats around the beautiful New England region I call home. Get ready to read, relax and recharge with us!
Upcoming Retreats
Find your bliss at our Attean Lake Lodge retreat this Labor Day weekend! Reconnect and reflect in nature with a lovely group of like-minded ladies. Your weekend will start with a quick boat ride to the island where we will be retreating. Each attendee will have their own room in a shared cabin. Cabins do not have electricity but are equipped with fireplaces and the main lodge has electricity and wifi creating a perfect balance of being off the grid but not too far! If you would like your own cabin please email novelwomenme@gmail.com with your request.
Attendees will choose from Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth (thriller) or The Great Wherever by Shannon Sanders (literary fiction) book provided ahead of the retreat for discussion during our weekend together. Activities will include a communi-tea ritual workshop, mixed media collage, book discussions and games with prizes. Full itinerary in process, there will be free time to enjoy the island with structured activities spread throughout the weekend.
All food, lodging, retreat book, activities, gift bags and tips are included.
All sales final and nonrefundable. You can transfer your spot to someone else prior to the receipt of the retreat book.
Two booking options, arrive between 12-5pm on arrival day, depart 11am Monday:
Friday Sept 4th - Monday Sept 7th (3 nights)
Saturday Sept 5th - Monday Sept 7th (2 nights)

I highly recommend Novel Women. I went on a weekend book retreat in November of 2025. I had the best time. The book choice was perfect, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and it was extremely organized. Chelsea does a great job communicating the weekend activities and ensures everyone has the opportunity to tailor their weekend to meet their wants. I only knew two people going into the weekend but left with more than a handful of new booking loving friends. If you have the opportunity to travel with Novel Women I recommend it!
